On behalf of the Board of Education, administration, teachers, and staff we would like to welcome you to Signal Hill School District #181 Website. We are pleased for the opportunity to share information about the many programs offered in our school. We believe through the technology of the internet all of us will gain knowledge and valuable experience to support learning now and in the future. Signal Hill District 181 is located in the West End of Belleville in St. Clair County. We are part of the Metro East. With St. Louis to the West, Fairview Heights and O'Fallon to the North, the district is located in an idealistic spot. There are many opportunities in the area and our community focuses on the students of Signal Hill, as well as their families. The school district owns Signal Hill Park which is one of the gathering places in the community for families. Signal Hill District 181 is one of the choice public school districts anywhere. We are staffed by experienced, dedicated administrators and teachers committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our students. Some of our programs include Junior Beta Club, Chess Club, Band, Scholastic Bowl, Math Club, Science Club, Chorus, Student Council, Basketball, Volleyball, Track Soccer, Softball and Cheerleading. Signal Hill School District is fortunate to have an actively involved Board of Education who is committed to overall educational process of the district. At the backbone of the school's success is the strong familial support received. Home and school partnerships are fundamental to the success of students. When parents are involved in their children's education, children will excel.
